This grave is located east of Ferrell Cemetery at the site of the Old Grimes Ferry on the Neches River. Mrs. Whittington died probably died in the 1880's while the family was waiting to cross the river which was flooded. They buried her near the ferry on the north side of the road. There is no marker; however, the grave is enclosed by an iron fence.
