HENRY BRADFORD is the son of Sam Bradford and Martha Bradford.

He received his formal training in the public schools of Leon County, Texas and later attended Southern Bible Training School in Dallas.

On April 13, 1952, Henry Bradford was united in holy matrimony to Almeda West. They had no children but inspired leadership and counseling into the thoughts and minds of their nieces and nephews. They were married for 40 years.

Henry Bradford accepted Christ as his personal Savior early in life and affiliated with the Sweet Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Madisonville, Texas where he served as a deacon.

He later relocated to Dallas and continued his profession as a landscaper and gardener.

Henry Bradford was a faithful and loyal member of Lodge #70 of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas.

In 1957, he united with New Friendship Baptist Church and on May 4, 1958 he accepted the call to preach God's Word under the pastorship of Rev. G. T. Thomas.

Rev. Bradford first preached in Italy, Texas on the 4th Sunday in January, 1961. His first sermon was entitled, "The Errors of the People and the Responsibilities of the Prophets." On February 26, 1961, REV. HENRY BRADFORD was called to Union Missionary Baptist Church in Italy, Texas where he served faithfully as Shepherd of his flock for 31 years.
