LOUIS J. RIZER
Louis James Rizer, 59, of Wiley Ford, WV, died Friday in Detroit where he had been visiting. Born in Eckhart, a son of the late Alfred & Lucy (Papa) Rizer, he was a veteran of WWI and a former employe of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, having retired about 6yrs ago. Surviving are his widow, Mrs Bessie A. (Shipley) Rizer; 3 sons, William O. and Louis J. Jr. both of Baltimore, and Roy A. Rizer of Ohio; 3 daughters, Mrs Virginia Iron and Mrs Wanda Sullivan, both of this city, and Mrs Alta Wagoner of Baltimore; a stepson, Richard Morgan of this city; a stepdaughter, Mrs Alice Spicer of Detroit; 3 brothers, Henry of Zihlman, John of Ohio, and Alfred of Detroit; 4 sisters, Mrs Mary Nines of Frostburg, Mrs Dorothy Green of Ohio, Mrs Irene Albright and Mrs Ivy Urben, both of Baltimore; and 17 grandchildren. They body will remain at the Kight Funeral Home where services will be conducted today by Rev.B.F.Hartman, pastor of Fairview Methodist Church. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park where military honors will be accorded by Fort Cumberland Post 13, American Legion and Henry Hart Post 1411, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He should have a military marker - US Headstone Application for Military Veterans - Louis J. Rizer born Feb 10, 1898 & died Mar 29, 1957. Enlisted July 17, 1917 & discharged Jan 21, 1919. Pfc Co.E 115th Infantry. Burial at Memorial Park in Frostburg, MD. Applicant is Mrs Bessie A.Rizer of Wiley Ford, WV
