Mary Blanche Miller was born October 17, 1895, in Woodsboro District, Frederick County, Maryland, the daughter of Milton Van Buren Miller and Mary Ann Plowman Ilgenfritz. She married in December of 1915, in Frederick County, to John Irvin Boone, son of Thomas W. and Jennie Fogle Boone. They were the parents of 6 children: Mary L., Caroline Isabelle, John David, Margaret Leanna, Barbara Ruth and Patsy Jane boone.

"Mrs. Mary Blanche Boone, 81, wife of the late John I. Boone of Main Street, Union Bridge, died on Wednesday, December 22, at 12:15 p.m. in the Citizens Nursing Home, Frederick, after an illness of seven months. She was born October 17, 1895 in Ladiesburg, a daughter of the late Milton V. and Mary Ilgenfritz Miller. Surviving are one son, John D. Boone, Union Bridge; five daughters, Mrs. Mary L. Beard of Westminster, Mrs. Isabelle C. Wachter of Keymar, Mrs. M. Leanna Stitley and Mrs. Ruth Zile, both of Union Bridge, and Mrs. Patsy J. Botzell, Tarboro, North Carolina; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray Miller, Keymar; four sisters, Matilda Boone and Mrs. Margaret Wimmer, both of Westminster, Mrs. Myrtle Boone of Linwood, and Mrs. Lucy Gaver of Union Bridge; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a life-long member of Haugh's Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Ladiesburg and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Union Bridge Fire Company. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post No. 3306of Union Bridge. Funeral services will be hald at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 24, at the Union Bridge funeral home of D. D. Hartzler. The Rev. Richard Michael, pastor of the St. James Lutheran Church, willofficiate. Interment will be in Haugh's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening, December 23."
