Frank Parker, 84, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012, in Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Mark Hinchcliff officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday prior to service time at the church.

Frank was born in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Frank S. and Florence (Stickel) Parker, Sr. Raised on a dairy farm during the Depression, he went on to graduate from Hilliard High School in Ohio. During World War II, Frank served his country in the United States Navy. On April 12, 1942 he married Elnora "Sue" Fidler in Covington, KY and the couple started their married life in Columbus, OH. In 1954, he went to work for North American Aviation. He later went in business for himself. The couple moved to upstate New York in 1962. They resided there for 13 years before moving to Hillsboro in 1976, when they opened WorTex Corporation, which they ran until 1988. In 1994, they opened MPG, Inc. in Hillsboro. Frank was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, Hillsboro County Club, Society of Plastics Industry, and Society of Plastics Engineers.

Preceding him in death his beloved wife of over 60 years, "Sue", in 2007; sisters, Dorotha Parker Shirkey, Roxie Parker, and Beatrice Parker; mother-in-law, Blanche McCall; brothers-in-law, Minor Fidler and Curt Shirkey; cousin, Gary Zimmer; and a nephew, Jerry Shirkey.

Survivors include his sons, Mike Parker and wife, Carolyn, and Steve Parker; granddaughter, Julie Babbert and husband, Mark; great-grandchildren, Dawn Dingess and husband, Mark, Camellia Babbert and Beth Elko, and Caleb Babbert and wife, Erica; four great-great-grandchildren; niece, Beatrice "Pink" Shirkey and Jo McGhee; nephew, Mike Shirkey; cousins, Loretta Zimmer, Opal Gillenwater and husband, Ronnie, and Evelyn Parker Erwin and husband, Vern; numerous other extended family; his two dogs, Frenchie and Blackie; his family of employees at MPG Service and Sales, Inc. in Hillsboro; and his loyal and dear friends, David and Elena Diaz and their family.
