SEVEN SPRINGS -- Bertha Adams Potter, 96, of 2690 Zion Church Road, died Thursday, July 7, 2005, at Brian Center.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rodney Barwick officiating. Interment will be Sunday at 10 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery.

Mrs. Adams was born in Wayne County to the late Lonnie and Julia Kornegay Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Burke Potter; sister, Minnie Potter; and three brothers, Raymond Adams, Grover Adams and Albert Adams.

Surviving are four children, Elma Gray Barwick of Seven Springs, Carolyn Granger of Alexandria, Virginia, Donald Franklin Potter of Iowa Park, Texas and Kenneth Potter of Seven Springs; one sister, Mae Ivey of LaGrange; one brother, Rodolph Adams of Seven Springs; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Saturday, and other times at the residence, 2690 Zion Church Road, Seven Springs.
