Donald V. Bletcher, 87, formerly of 1176 Elm Ave., died Saturday afternoon at Lancashire Hall, Neffsville, where he had been a guest for the past nine months. He was the widower of Helen Bleacher, who died a year ago. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Harry B. and Dora Hollinger Bletcher. He was a member of the Covenant United Methodist Church. He had worked for the Groff and Wolf Company for many years prior to his retirement and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and the Malta. He is survived by two children, Dorothy B., wife of J. William DeHaven, Lancaster; and Richard A., Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. (Sunday News - Dec 7, 1980)
