Lorenzo Phillips
LORENZO PHILLIPS, III (RENO), was born December 8, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Lorenzo (JoAnn) Phillips, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Billy Darden; sister, Regina and his brother, Rodney. Lorenzo was the second of eleven children. He was educated in the St. Louis Public School System and the Berkeley School District. Soon after high school, Lorenzo was united in Holy Matrimony to his first real TRUELOVE Ms. Andrea Murray. This union was blessed with the birth of three children, Lorenzo IV, Crystal and Marlon. LORENZO was affectionately known to most as Reno. He possessed a genuine willingness to give of himself for the sake of others. Reno had the ability to make others smile during their lowest points in life, a gift that so many admired. With many ailments throughout his young life, Reno lived life to the fullest everyday. His love exhibited towards others was un-measurable and ever so meaningful. There were countless days when someone's telephone would ring and it was Reno, calling with his smooth reassuring voice, saying on the other end, just called to ask, "Who Loves You?" Ending the conversation with his infamous saying, "I Love You til the world blows up. Reno's love for his sibling was loyal. He shared a very special relationship with his sister, Kathy, better known as "his twin." Reno gave his all to see that he was able to make someone else happy. He stood for family. Reno had an undying love for music which he displayed as the family's D.J. LORENZO accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized in his Holy name in January of 2012 at Trinity Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Florrisant, Missouri, under the Leadership of the Reverend Charles Roach where he was a member until his death. Lorenzo's sudden departure has left a void in many of our lives. Reno completed his mission on earth and was called home to rest by his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 13, 2012.

Lorenzo leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Lorenzo Phillips, IV( (Tanika), Marlon Phillips (Carrie), Crystal Phillips, Quianna Phillips, Ashley Phillips, and Pharrell Phillips; nine sisters, Karen Mahone (Charles), Kathy Phillips (Irene), Lisa Turner (Cleveland), Rita Foley (Derek), and Cynthia Phillips, all of St. Louis, MO, Linda Phillips of Springfield, MO, Tiffany Phillips of Elizabethtown, KY, Amber Phillips and Renee Phillips, both of Davenport, IA; one brother, Steven Phillips of Radcliff, KY; his own special pieces of Heaven, 24 grandchildren; 2 aunts, Margie Smith of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Joan Truelove of St. Louis, MO; 1 uncle, Richard W. Truelove of St. Louis MO; a host of other family and friends.
