Mrs. Jane B. Seeley
Jane Benson Seeley, widow of John Seeley, died between 12 and 1 o'clock this morning at her home, 183 Garfield Street, Nineteenth Ward, following a long illness of general debility, in her 80th year. The deceased was born in March 1936, and was married before the Civil War to John Seeley, who later went to the front with one of the Pennsylvania regiments. Mr. Seeley's death occurred here in 1898. Mrs. Seeley was a sister of Thomas Benson, of Foustwell, and Henry Benson, of Friedens. Her surviving children are John Seeley, Jr., at home; Mrs. Edward Shaffer, of 180 Garfield street, Mrs. Walter R. Nichols, of 292 Strayer street; Mrs. Mary Sterye, of Youngstown, O. and Samuel Seeley, of Kansas. The funeral will take place on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the services to be conducted by the Rev. J. W. Mills, pastor of the Morrellville Church of the Brethren, with burial in Benshoff's Cemetery.
