C.E. Flagler
Dies at 64

Cornelius (Connie) E. Flagler,
64, of 705 Stevens St.,
died yesterday in St. Luke's-
Memorial Hospital Center.
Mr. Flagler was born in
Brockport, N.Y., the son of
John and Margaret Purdy
Flagler. He attended Oneida
schools and Rochester
Institute ofTechnology.
He married Margaret Lebert
in Detroit, Mich, in 1934.
They moved to
the Utica area 25 years ago.
He retired this year from the
Genesee Supply Co., where he
was employed as an automotive
machinist for the past 30 years.
Mr. Flagler was a Fourth
Degree, Knights of Columbus,
manager of the Polish Community
- Club-Bowling-Lanes
for the past two years, a
prominent bowler in various
Utica leagues, and one of the
founders of the Flub Dub
Club, serving as its first president.
Besides his wife, he leaves
three sons, Connie Jr. of
Floyd, John W. of the U.S.
Navy, and David Desjardins of
Utica; three daughters, Mrs.
James (Yvonne) Patron of
Utica, Mrs. William (Louise)
McConnell of Poughkeepsie,
and Mrs. Virginia Bauhan of
Hazleton, Ill.; and four sisters,
Mrs. Mildred Harding of
Wampsville, Mrs. Catherine
McSweeney and Mrs. Elva
Golley both of Oneida and
Mrs. Thelma Golden of Syracuse.
The funeral will be Tuesday
at 8:30 from the Swiatek-
Myslinski Funeral Home and
at 9 from St. Joseph's Church
where a requiem Mass will be
offered. Burial will be in
Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral
home will be Sunday and
Monday from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9.
