Mrs. Victoria Bryant (1898-1961), well known resident of Orange Mills, died recently at a local hospital following a brief illness. She was a member of Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, Hastings, and a member of the Putnam County Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include a husband, James Bryant, Orange Mills; two daughters, Mrs. Rachel Jones, Philadelphia, Pa., and Mrs. Mae Dinkins, Battle Creek, Mich.; four sons, James and Norman of Mamaroneck, N.Y., and White Plains, N.Y., Fletcher and Andrew of Orange Mills; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Fisher, Brooklyn, N.Y., and Mrs. Clara Simpkins, Larch Mt., N.Y.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. from Mount Olive A.M.E. Church, East Palatka, with Rev.Jones, pastor Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, Hastings, officiating. Burial will be in East Palatka Cemetery, under the direction of E.W. Lawson & Son Funeral Home. Palatka Daily News, Tuesday, 7 Feb 1961.
