Obituary: 25 Nov 1904, Frederick Ainley died Saturday night at the home of his sister Mrs. Emma Hammerly, after being in failing health for about two years, and was buried Monday. He was 68 years of age, was born in Connecticut, and was a brother of C.F. Ainley, president of the Des Moines Insurance Co. (Clipping found in an old scrapbook at the Colfax Library, Jasper County, Iowa. Oak Hill Cemetery and Highland Cemetery, both in Colfax were joined together and are now know as the Colfax Cemetery.
