BETTY JEAN LAY, 75, Cutler, Indiana: Betty J. Lay, 75 of Kokomo, Indiana, formerly of Cutler, Indiana, died at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2000 in St. Joseph Hospital and Health Center.
She was born on September 7, 1924 in Cutler, and was a 1932 graduate of Cutler High School . In 1986, she retired from Delco Electronics.
On June 22, 1986, she married Charles M. Lay in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Mrs. Lay was a member of the Westside Baptist Church of Kokomo, Indiana; United Auto Workers Local 292 and the Order of Eastern Star of Russiaville.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters: Sherrell Primmer and Patsy Long, both of Kokomo, Indiana; two stepsons: John Lay (wife Linda) of Atlanta, Georgia; and Duane K. Lay of Kokomo and a stepdaughter, Vickie Williams of Kokomo. Also surviving are three brothers: Lester Aikens (wife: Joan) of Lafayette; Gerald "Jerry" Aikens of Florida; and Clayton Hutson (wife: Alena) of Cutler.
