Pauline (Cavaliere) Cornelio, 95, of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Carmelo Cornelio, died Thursday, (July 25, 2002) at her home. Born January 1, 1907 in Canicattini Bagni province of Siracusa, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Angela (Ciarcia) Cavaliere. She lived in Hartford most of her life and was a communicant of St. Luke Church and a proud and active member of the South End Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by three sons, Anthony A. Cornelio and his wife Concetta of Hartford, E. Martin Cornelio and his wife Marie of Harwich, MA, and Carl P. Cornelio and his wife Ruth of Wethersfield; five grandchildren, Thomas Cornelio, Paula Anderson, David Cornelio and his wife Alicia, Diane Shepard and her husband William and Dean Cornelio; three great grandchildren, Geoffrey, Jason and Lindsay; a nephew, James Vicario; a niece, Angela Rucci; several grand nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by three sisters, Josephine Bucchere, Lucy Mazzotta and Philomena Vicario; and two nephews, Joseph and Emanuel Bucchere. Funeral service will be Monday, 10:15 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Church, Hartford. Burial in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Sunday, 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
