Utica--William Dingman, age 46, a Civil War Veteran of Co. H, 121st NY Volunteers, was found dead in bed at Dudley House, a hotel in Utica, of an accidental death. He lived at Schuyler's Lake, Otsego County, and was on his way to a Veterans Reunion at Little Falls. He was asphyxiated by gas from an imperfectly closed burner. His trusty walking cane was found close by.
