William Cohen, 80, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Sunday, March 10, 1996, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, at Louis Memorial Chapel; burial in Sheffield Cemetery.

Mr. Cohen was born in Kansas City, MO, and was a lifelong area resident. He was the owner of South Side Bookstore for 26 years, until his retirement in 1975. He was a graduate of Kansas City Kansas Junior College. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Cohen was a member of Congregation Ohev Sholom and its Men's Club; and currently president of the Kansas State B'nai Brith and a past president of Beth Horon Lodge, from which he received the ''Man of the Year'' award in 1975 and 1985. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Hillel and the School of Religion at the University of Kansas at Lawrence. He was a District 2 National Hillel Commissioner.
Surviving are his wife, Eunice Cohen, of the home; a son, Richard Landie, of Kansas City, MO; daughters, Beverly Cohen, of the home, and Susan Krause, of Washington, D.C.; and seven grandchildren.
