Charles A. Wells, 73, of Rt. 5, died 7:30 Wednesday night in Morristown-Hamblen Hospital. He was retired from Wells Contruction Company and a member of Amity P.C. Church.

He was a veteran of WW I, served in the county court for twelve years, and worked twenty-three years as forman for the Hood Chair Company.

He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Eunella Fillers Wells; three sons, Howard C. Wells, Hugh A. Wells and Bobby G. Wells of Greeneville; three grandchildren: Terry Lee Wells, Bobby Gene Wells II, and Kimberly Lynn Wells; three brothers, John C. and Eugene Wells of Greeneville and Merrill Wells of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; and three sisters, Mrs. J.E. Collins, Mrs. Haskell Reed and Lillian Wells of Greeneville.

He was the son of the late William C. and Anne Elizabeth Lovette Wells.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, 2:00, in the Kiser Funeral Chapel with interment in Greene Lawn Memory Gardens. Rev. Harry Crewe and Rev. Glen Cox will officiate.

Active pallbearers will be Drew Wells, William O. Wells II, Alfred Cutshall, Joe Walker Jr., O.L. Payne Jr., Ralph Roberts, Paul Fillers and Herbert Waddell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Hal Henard, Dr. Don Henard, Dr. O.R. Lowry III, Dr. Kenneth Allum, Kenneth Rollins, G. Thomas Love, Percy Wilhoit Sr, W.V Harrison, Rollin Ramsey, Luther Wilhoit, Willard Melton, Max Shepard, John Thomas, Buford Morrison, Manley Cutshaw, Paul Jarrett, Bobby Morrison, D.A.
