Mrs. Frank Wallander, 79 of 715 South 24th street, died Saturday night at home following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Pfeffer funeral home and at 9 o'clock at the St. Paul's Catholic church, the Rev. Martin Jaekels officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Clarks Mills.
Mrs. Wallander, nee Eva Stracker, was born in Cato in 1867 and in 1892 was married to Mr. Wallander. They located on a farm in Cato, four miles southeast of Reedsville. Twelve years ago they retired and moved to this city. In 1942 the couple observed their golden wedding.
Survivors are the husband; three daughters, Mrs. Louis Gintner of Reedsville, Mrs. Alvin Hickmann of Osman, Mrs. William Hickman of Cedarburg; six sons, Joseph of the city, William, Edward and Alvin of Reedsville, John of Sheboygan, and Louis of Milwaukee; sister, Mrs. Mary Reiderer of Reedsville; 58 grandchildren and eight great grand-children.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home. The Christian Mothers, of which Mrs. Wallander was a member, will recite the rosary at 8 o'clock tonight.
