Oldest child of Hilmer Erickson and Mae Swenson, was born in Duluth, Minn. She married Ervin Libecki on Feb. 22, 1941. The couple lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Irene working for many years at A.C. Spark Plug, later Delco Electronic, in Oak Creek and was very proud of having worked on the guidance systems for all of the Apollo space missions. The couple bought a home in Burnett Co. Wisc, near where Irene grew up and retired there. She died in a nursing home there in 2001.
