Sophronia was a great conversationalist and loved to tell stories. As children we were entertained by the stories of her childhood. Sophronia became a teacher and her sister Mary who was two years younger had her for a teacher. Sophronia signed Mary's graduation diploma (diploma is 8x10 inches, we have a picture with Mary holding it).
When there was company at the Crane farm Sophronia would take the kids and they would sleep in the haymow.
One time a child bit another child and Sophronia quickly took out her dentures and pretended to bit the child. Scared him to death.
Children Maude, Paul, Ruth and George
