Born in Ireland and came to NJ as a young man. Survived by wife, the former Elizabeth McCauley; four sons, John, James A., Martin L.,Daniel; and by daughters Matilda Biddulph & Mrs. Charles L. Waters.
From other sources I know that he was predeceased by an infant son, George W., and a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Ross Turck. Also, his daughter "Mrs. Charles L. Waters" was formerly Mary Ross.
James' widow did not survive him by very long; she died less than two months later, on July 3, 1922.
