MILDRED OUSLEY Mildred Dechert Ousley passed away April 24, 2008, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas. She was born July 4, 1912, in Kansas City, Mo., to Peter and Lena Myers Dechert. On April 11, 1931, she married Eugene B. Ousley and they celebrated their 77th wedding anniversary before she died. Mildred and Eugene are the parents of one son, Richard E. Ousley, who has been married to his wife, Joyce, for 57 years. They have two grandsons, Richard (Rhonda) of Sagle, Idaho, and Kevin (Diane) of Las Vegas. They also have three great-grandchildren, Rick, Jennifer and Drew; and two near great-granddaughters, Katie (Drew) and Abby (Rick). Mildred was a telephone operator most of her adult life. Her last job was switchboard operator for Nevada Power Company for 23 years. She was a joy to work with and a pleasure to know. Her love and loving ways will be missed by all who knew her. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Lena Dechert; two sisters, Dorothy and Mary; and a niece, Dolly. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 28, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Interment will follow at Palm Valley View Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
