Moving to New England, Gayle developed a passion for antiquing and canning. In earlier years raising six children kept her busy as well as volunteering in the scouts and civic organizations.
For the past 33 years Gayle has devoted her life to sharing her experience, strength & hope with those who suffer from alcoholism. She freely shared what she had learned, that legacy will survive her and be passed on by those whose lives she touched. She will be especially missed by her extended family in her AA home group. We would like to thank them for all of their love and support during this difficult time.
Charley is survived by: children, William Correll, David Correll, Thomas Correll, Diane DeLucia, Laura Correll and Christine Stoltz; sisters, Eleanor Thomsen, Gwen Schroder and Claudia Philips; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and and a host of relatives and friends.
A memorial service is being held Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 3:30pm at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St, Willimantic, CT.
In accordance with her wishes Gayle will be cremated.
