Thomas E. Berger Rites Held here Wednesday.
Thomas E. Berger 70, died Monday, Jan 25, 1954, at 3:50 p.m. at the Wilson County Hospital. Cause of Death was listed as diabetes and carinoma, following a three year illness.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home with interment in the Neodesha cemetery. Rev. C. O. Newman was in charge of the services.
Thomas E. Berger was born Jan 31, 1883, Near Erie. He married Miss Clarice Hinrichs in Neodesha on May 14, 1938.
Mr. Berger was a farmer for years, then worked for the Missouri Pacific railroad after coming to Neodesha in 1929. His last work was for the city of Neodesha. Mr. Berger was a good worker and always tried to do his part of whatever he was working at.
He is survived by his wife, Clarice, of the home, and three children, John T., Betty Ann and Mary Lou Berger, all of the home. Twin sons preceded him in death in 1945.
Other survivors are two brothers, A. G. Berger, rural Fredonia, KS; Wilson Berger, McCleary, Wash; a sister, Mrs. Susie Rhine, Perry, Okla; and a number of nieces and nephews.
