Juanita was born May 21, 1934, in White Rock, Mo., the daughter of Ernest and Dorothy (Bowling) Mann. She graduated from Wakenda High School in 1952, where she was on the 1952 State Championship basketball team.
She married DA Meyers on June 24, 1952, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. DA survives of the home.
She was Co-Owner and Operator, along with her husband, of the Sears Catalog Store in Carrollton for many years. Following retirement, she loved spending time cooking for all who visited, many times for over 100 people or more at the drop of a hat. She loved to have people over partying and dancing listening to her son Dan, Ronnie Nolke, and Eddie Davidson play their music. She enjoyed her Lake of the Ozarks home, entertaining and going out for a boat ride with all who came to visit. She and DA loved to travel the country, visiting wherever her kids and grandkids were living. She was an avid bowler and won many state titles. She quilted and made quilts for all of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends. She cooked the best fried chicken in the world. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jimmy Meyers; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Meyers.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Dan Meyers of Jacksonville, Texas, Cindy Hanavan and husband, Terry, of Chillicothe, Mo., Marty Meyers and wife, Kim, of Blue Springs, Mo., and Dennis Meyers and wife, Julie, of Blue Springs, Mo.; grandchildren, Cody and Erin Hanavan, Cory and Laura Hanavan, Kourtney Meyers, Chad Meyers, Adriana Meyers, Chase Meyers; great-grandson, Brett Hanavan; brother, Travis Mann and wife, Rose; and a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to her niece and husband Vicki and Ron Nolke for all they did for her and DA through the years.
