- Bert Lawson, who has been running a lunch counter in the Siefried Saloon, died Friday night from an overdose of morphine. Medical aid was called, but he was too far gone, and soon expired. He was about 20 years old. His remains were buried in the Fields Creek Cemetery Sunday afternoon.
