Elizabeth "Ann" Hollister, age 74, of Miller, Missouri, passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012, in her home. She was born on October 4, 1937, in Mullinville, Kansas, the daughter of John Cirtis and Grace Marie (Smith) Beatty. Ann worked as waitress and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Everton, Missouri. On October 15, 1954, she married Joel J. Hollister in Mullinville, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2005.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her four daughters: Alice Burt of Springfield, Donna Villani of Aurora, Judith Mercer of Stotts City, and Mary Mercer of Mt. Vernon; three sons: Joel Hollister, Frances Hollister, and Donald Hollister all of Miller; one brother, Gene Beatty of Coldwater, Kansas; three sisters: Francis Ponter of Green Forrest, Arkansas, Iris Cole of Wichita, Kansas, and Grace Copeland of Mullinville, Kansas; 29 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
Her parents, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
A graveside service, under the direction of Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home in Miller, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Miller Memorial Garden Cemetery.
