MR. FLOYD J. HARTNELL--72 yes. old of Cross Lake near Antioch, Ill. passed away on Friday, September 28th at Kenosha Memorial Hospital. He was born September 1, 1901 in Brighton Township, Kenosha County, Wisconsin the son of the late Frank and Clara Hartnell. He had lived in Kenosha County all of his life. he was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America for 50 years. Mr. Hartnell had worked for the Kenosha Highway Department from 1937 until his retirement in October 1963. He married Dorothy Smolen-Skalak on October 19, 1946 in Antioch, Ill. He was preceed in death by 1 brother Miner Hartnell and 2 sisters Mrs. Alta Maurice and mrs. Laura Cook.

Survivors are his wife Dorothy--2 step sons John Skalak (Chicago)--George Skalak (Norsman, Australia)--2 step daughters Mrs. Dorothy (Lawrence) Olsen (Salem, Wis.)--Mrs. Charlotte (Pat) Masters (San Diego, Calif.)--3 sisters Mrs. Olive (Harry) Olson (Salem, Wisc.)—Mrs. Hazel Stockwell (Salem)—Mrs. Annette Azbill (Los Angeles, Calif.)—10 grandchidlren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 1st at the Strang Funeral Home in Antioch, Ill. Rev. Ray Kotwicki of the Salem Mothodist Church officiated with interment in Salem Mound Cemetery near Silver Lake, Wisc.
