ALLEN – Preston Allen, 77, of Marietta, died January 21, 2004. Services will be 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2004, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Marietta, GA with Rev. Richard Duncan officiating. Mr. Allen was born in Marietta, GA and grew up in Montezuma, GA and moved to Pittsburg, CA in 1953 where he lived until his retirement from the City of Pittsburg in 1979. After retirement he moved back to Marietta. He was a member of Mt. Arbor Baptist Church, Marietta, GA and the American Legion Post #0320. Mr. Allen was a WW II Army Veteran. Survivors include two daughters, Geraldine Moran of Marietta and Michelle Howell of Canton, OH; three sons, Wayne Allen of Antioch, CA, Preston A. Allen of Vallejo, CA, and Ronnie Allen of Farmington, New Mexico; twenty grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Contributions may be made to the Mt. Arbor Baptist Church, 2235 Morgan Road, Marietta, GA 30066. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta.
