Bertha Mendelsohn, 89, of Kansas City, MO, died Sunday, August 14, 2005 at Timberlake Care Center. Graveside services will be 2:00p.m. Monday, August 15, at Sheffield Cemetery . Mrs. Mendelsohn was a bookkeeper and manager for Vance Davis Home Remodeling Co. where she worked for 22 years before her retirement. She was a member of B'nai B'rith, Kansas City Chapter of A.M.C., Denver, CO. Friends of Shalom. Vishay Club and was recording secretary for Maayan Baruch Chapter of Na'Amat Pioneer Women. Mrs. Mendelsohn was a life long Kansas City area resident. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Alec Mendelsohn, in 1979: brothers: Sam and Abe Goldstein; sisters: Rose Froomin and Princess Friedman. She is survived by her son: William Mendelsohn; sister: Sarah Riseman; nieces: Elaine Riseman and Delores Castrianni; nephews: Melvin Wilner, Leornard Froomin and Mickey Goldstein.
