Morris was a veteran of World War I but did not go overseas. I believe this was probably due to the fact that 2 older brothers were killed while in military service during WWI, 1 in France and 1 at an Army camp in Virginia.
Morris married Emma Schmidt in Allentown on 23 September 1922 and lived with her on Irving Street until she passed away in 1970.
Morris worked for 41 years for Mack Trucks, first as a driver and then an electrician; he retired in 1966.
Morris died of a blood clot in his leg while living at a nursing home in Richlandtown, Pennsylvania.
Morris Ebert was my Great Uncle, whom I remember meeting probably in the early 1960's when he and his wife, Emma, visited Los Angeles. I had the honor of placing flowers on his grave in the Fall of 2012.
