Bio

I am retired and live in Jacksonville, FL. In 2004, after I retired, I became interested in genealogy and am researching the following family names: Cain, Hart, Kleiver (or Kliewer), Clever, Rinard, Stutsman (or Stutzman), Cripe, Replogle, Tihart (or Tiahrt), Pauls/Powell, Stephens (or Stevens), Isaacs, McKinney, and Hutt. I became a contributor to Find-a-Grave in 2007.

My father was Conley Cain and my mother was Ruby Elizabeth "Ann" Kleiver Cain. My father's parents were Beauford Cain and Mary Jane Stephens Cain, originally of Yellowrock, KY, then of Estancia, NM. Beauford's parents were James McKinney Cain and Sarah Margaret Richardson Kelly. Mary Jane's parents were Vincent W. Stephens and Sarah D. Lynch of Kentucky. Beauford's gggrandfather was John Cain, Sr. of Kentucky and Virginia (b abt 1870) and Susannah McKinney of Kentucky and Virginia. DNA proves that the Cain family originated in County Clare, Ireland.

My mother's parents were Peter Kleiver (formerly Clever) of Prussia (now Poland), and Rose May Hart of Williamston, MI. Rose's father was Samuel Hart of Bottisham Lode, Cambridgeshire, England, and her mother was Esther Ann Rinard of Elkhart, Indiana. Esther's father was Benjamin Franklin Rinard and her mother was Catharine Stutsman Rinard (Ben's first wife, who died bef 1846). Catharine's parents were John Stutsman and Esther Cripe Stutsman and her maternal grandparents were Daniel Cripe and Barbara Lovina Replogle. Samuel's grandfather was Matthew Hart (b 1763) and Avis Mott Hart (b 1765), both of Bottisham Lode, Cambridgeshire, England. Peter's parents were John (Johann) Clever (Kleiver) and Anna Tiahrt of Prussia. Anna was the daughter of Peter Tiahrt (b abt 1806 in Prussia) and the sister of Elizabeth "Lisse" Tiahrt (Pauls) Powell and Peter Tiahrt (b 1827 in Prussia, d 1892 in South Dakota).
