Bio

Some people like the stories, some people like the facts. I like both. I'm a professional historical researcher (retired) and have been doing genealogy work for a very long time. I rarely post any suggested edits without the paper documentation to verify the work. I endeavor to include any census, marriage, death or military service records so that others who come after can find their person or validate connections. (Not because I like to type!)

Please remember to include this information to help those who follow us. Not everyone has access to the National Archives, Library of Congress, local archives, and old church records so please make their search a little easier and give them a chance to validate their info, by including yours and mine. (In fact, I think it rather rude if someone goes to the trouble of gathering and including data, for someone to exclude it from posting it in their acceptance of the edit. I mean comon' guys it's just a copy and paste or a button to push!)

TRANSFERS:
I am always willing to transfer a memorial to someone who is a direct relative, however, please follow the Find-A-Grave policy for transfers and include your connection or I may have to reject the request. Please also feel free to contact me to update, add or question any of the info I have posted, suggested or added.

All the current policies on transfers can be found at "How can I request to manage a relative's memorial" under the "Help" link on the bottom of the pages of the website.

Relationships under the current policy are: child, spouse/partner, sibling, parent, grandchild, great-grandchild, grandparent, great-grandparent, niece/nephew, great-niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, great-aunt/uncle, or first cousin. This would include adoptive, step and in-law versions of these relationships.

Requests for transfers must include a statement of your relationship.

Happy search!
