From Hwy 66 in Battle Creek, west onto Territorial Rd and continue for about 3 miles. The cemetery is on the south side of the road in a small fenced in area, northeast of the Memorial Park Cemetery. It is located about one-eighth mile east of the W. K. Kellogg Airport on West Territorial Road.
HISTORY:
(From Cemetery Records: Battle Creek Township/Pennfield Township, Calhoun County, State Of Michigan 1819-1938, By Daughters of the American Revolution Battle Creek Chapter. Genealogical Comm. D.A.R., 1938) A contract was obtained of Joseph Young on the 23rd day of May 1854 for a lot for a Cemetery on the farm of the said Joseph Young, containing 112 sq. rods of ground.
The records read - May 23, 1854, between Joseph Young of Battle Creek, and A. V. Cummings, David Young, Milton Gregory, and Levi Stewart, President and Officers, Goguac Cemetery Company. $10.00 paid for part of Section 15 in Battle Creek Township, containing 112 square rods.
