The newer section of the cemetery, on the east side of the run, nearer the village.

There are several marked graves in this "Old Section" of the New Freeport Cemetery. It is located across a ravine among large trees on the left about 50 yards after passing through the gate at the highway. It is not very easy to see while foliage is on the trees. These graves were entered in the New Freeport Cemetery. They are Peter, Phillip, Jane and Mary Gump; Henry and Issac Fox; Nancy Hilton, Peter Poland, Jacob, Nancy and Andrew Anderson; H, N, Pettit, Susanna, Jas. and Sarah Kinney, Gideon Hupp, Adeline Henderson and Russell McNeely.

New Freeport Baptist Church

The old section of this cemetery is in the woods west of and across the stream from the new section.
