This cemetery is in a 5 acre tract of land and has returned to nature. The 1760 farmhouse that once stood in front of the cemetery is burnt down, per a Richmond (VA) Times Dispatch article, issue of 3/22/2006, stating "Fire early yesterday severely damaged or destroyed five buildings, two trailers and several vehicles on a 5-acre, 200-year-old family homestead in eastern Henrico County. The family escaped safely, but the 2 a.m. blaze leveled several buildings after it apparently spread from a garage, said Henrico fire spokesman Lt. Gary Hutchison." Following in the summer of 2012 a metal scrapper, stating to neighbors "he was working for the owners" removing all recyclable metal from the burnt vehicles and buildings on the property, but while nobody was watching he also removed the ornamental graveyard fence. The site covered a rectangular space fifty feet long by twenty feet wide, and per a 1932 survey was "surrounded by a fence of iron pickets with heavy iron posts spaced at ten foot intervals and a gate at the eastern end which is secured by a massive iron lock." There is only the monument here today, still plumb and legible in the year 2013, a vine covered obelisk nearly 10' tall which rests on a square base, on which are engraved all the names of the Christian family that are interred here.
