Another interesting fact about this cemetery location comes from the book, "History Of Johnson County, 1986", #512 Burley And Mildred Shoun, p. 357, by Mildred Morely Shoun. The land on which Burley Shoun lived, was the FIRST land purchased by Leonard Shoun, in 1794, from Solomon Boone, and was paid for in Shillings. Leonard passed this piece of land on to his oldest son, John S. Shoun, it then passed to John's son, Peter Parker Shoun, then to Peter's son, Walter Garfield Shoun, then to Walter's son, Burley Herbert Shoun.
