"The Weisinger Place", as related in "Historic Tales of Talladega" c. 1959 by E. Grace Jemison, off of Talladega Creek between Bemiston and Allison Mill, is near the site of the Creek Indian "Mother Town" of Yu-Fau-La, or Eu-Fau-Lau-Hatchie. This village was still in existence when the Creek Treaty of 1832 was signed at Cusseta. The property is currently owned and being restored by the Hall family, who report the 2-story farmhouse was built during 1842-1846 upon a 600-acre land grant.
