Walker Cemetery
Also known as Stephen Walker Cemetery
Fayetteville, Lincoln County, Tennessee, USA
There are six known graves here with this being the graveyard of the main progenitor Stephen Walker. Names on the tombstones: Mary J. Phillips 1830-1891, Stephen & Elizabeth S. Walker, S.T Waker 1831-1924 and his two wives Clarissa Walker 1834-1905 & Julia Walker 1838-1888.
Listed on page 335 of the book Lincoln County Cemeteries by Tim & Helen Marsh. Found on Lincoln map # 24 in that book. There are two other walker Cemeteries in lincoln Co TN in the Marsh couple's book. One is well popluated with graves and is on this site with a bad map and another is a lost cemetery with no marked graves.
Folks don't post any other graves here unless you know they are likely here with an now unmarked grave.
This cemetery is abandoned and very remote though next to the road. The place is so wild I flushed out what appeared to be a Red Wolf (Did not know this was their habitat) before being able to get into this Privy Hedge thicket to photograph it. Yep. He was as afraid of me as I was of him/her.
