The residents of the County Home who were buried in this cemetery had no resources, so it is very unlikely that any permanent markers were placed. This was the "Poorhouse."
Assuming that the County Home's graveyard was in close proximity to the home, the cemetery could be on the grounds of Smith Reynolds Airport. This is speculation, but from a knowledgeable local historian. There are graves in a wooded area of the airport, but death certificates confirm that those are burials in old Evergreen Cemetery that were not moved when Evergreen Cemetery was relocated in 1944 to allow for airport expansion.
Both African American and white burials are documented in County Home Cemetery. Since the homes were separate during this time, the burials are likely in separate sections of the cemetery; or there may have been more than one cemetery.
