It was turned into a public park and officially opened as the Dr. Mary Hearn Park on 22 June 2011. New pathways and new green areas were created while some of the gravestones were repaired.
Dr. Mary Hearn was the wife of Robert T. Hearn a rector of St. Anne's from 1905 to 1939. She was known for her generosity to the poor by offering her services for free to those who could not afford it. Her services were offered regardless of denomination.
