[1.] Old Ickes Cemetery Pigeon Hills - Kilcoin Farm
[2.] In John Ball's obituary (Civil War Veteran), it stated interment was in a private graveyard on the farm of Robert Bridenthal, which was formerly owned by Mathias Ickes. His death certificate says Ickes Graveyard.
[3.] In 1996 Arthur Ickes in his outline stated Mathias Ickes was on his farm.
Tom Imler recorded this Cem. in Vol. 5 Pg. 15. of Bedford County Cemeteries in about 1967. It appears that no other transcriptions were made of this cemetery
From his map of East St. Clair Township Bedford County Pennsylvania, it is possibly located on Beaver Ln. near Cessna & close to Pine Grove Church.
There were 7 entries listed with a reference that here were a number of unmarked stones.
GAR John Ball 1825-1911
Samuel Ickes 1808- 1881 Wife Julia 1814-1881
Matthias Ickes 1844-1893 wife Catharine 1841-1896
George Ickes 1840-1862 d. Relay House Baltimore MD
What was found in this area was possibly a farm cemetery of two stones with footstones and they were not listed in Imlers transcription.
The two stones of Mary Ann Cuppett and Esther E. Blackburn have been entered in Beaver Lane Unknown Cemetery of Cessna in East St. Clair Township Bedford County Pennsylvania.
It is an overgrown cemetery so the stones can not be seen in the summer time.
