The East Half of Section 18 (178.42 acres) was patented by Charles MORGAN on the 12 Mar 1812. In 1825, his five heirs and widow, Sarah, deeded the northeast 20 acres of the East Half of Section 18, to John MOLER. On this 20 acres was located the Morgan Cemetery at the peak of the hill. By 1958, the graveyard was destroyed by construction of the platting of Comanche Drive. The remains and most of the tombstones were buried in a dump nearby except that three headstones and two footstones were found under garbage cans on the lot as shown on the plat.
The cemetery was located in the city of Kettering (formerly Van Buren Township), Montgomery County, Ohio, and is # 8411 (Morgan Cemetery) in "Ohio Cemeteries 1803-2003", compiled by the Ohio Genealogical Society.
