REMOVED TO PERRYVILLE CEMETERY (SK047)
The Charles E. Champlin stone has been found at Perryville Church Cemetery (SK047). James N. Arnold found his stone in this lot opposite the Seventh Day Advent Church. He recorded this lot next after he visited the Stephen B. Watson Lot (SK136). Two lots after this one, he recorded the Browning Lot (SK063). This puts the original location in the southwest corner of town, just north of Green Hill Pond. SK193, the Henry Champlin Lot, is known to us through the records of a professional removal done in 1987. It contained six unmarked graves, two of which were identified as Champlin children by coffin plates. It was on land owned by Henry Champlin and was in the same area as this cemetery, therefore it is quite possible that this lot and SK193 are the same. James N. Arnold recorded this lot Oct. 8, 1880, his #151: "In lot opposite the 7th Day Advent Church, yard fenced only the following. Grave at feet unmarked." Identified, registered, and recorded by John Sterling & James Wheaton on a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
