This cemetery is located on the original land grant given to William Moffatt by George III, King of England, of 250 acres of land in Chester County, South Carolina who was a founding member of Fairview Presbyterian Church originally located beside the cemetery. Founders William Moffatt, John Peden, Thomas Hugh McDill, James Mills, John Smyth, and David Alexander Chestnut.
Directions:
Going south on I-77 in SC, take exit 55 which is SC 97. Go west on SC 97 about 2.7 miles and turn left on "Moffit Creek Rd." After a little over 2 miles you will cross Little Rocky Creek. Up the hill to your right will be a house off the road. Beyond is a brick house close to the road. Before you reach this house, there is a small drive to the right which goes behind the brick house. Take this drive and go behind the house till you see an old road/trail to the right. Park behind the house. Take the trail into the woods. It is fairly well cleared. I'm not sure how far it is, but the trail will split. Take the left fork, which will take you to the cemetery.
