Pannill Family Cemetery for Enslaved People
Orange, Orange County, Virginia, USA
From "Tombstone Inscriptions of Orange County, Virginia" by Margaret C. Klein, Genealogical Publishing Company, 1979: As you leave the last cemetery [Pannill Fam. Cem.], stop just before the gate and look backward to a fencerow on your left. There is a break in the fencerow and an old Dogwood tree. Several natural stones and depressions were found. It is said to have been the slave cemetery for the Pannill slaves."
