After the Methodist worshiped there from 1861 to 1881, the church reorganized as Bear Creek Baptist Church.
When Flower Hill Church was reorganized again in May 1894, the names of members were: J. Green, Willie Hayes, S.S. Pender, Emma M Pender, and Maggie Hawkins. Bro. S.S. Pender was called as Pastor for the balance of the first year. A Ms. Edna Steve stated in 2008 that she was told by a local hunter that there were some Davises buried near a creek branch east of Flower Hill Road just south of Oak Ridge. Unfortunately, no stones have been found for any Davises in Flower Hill Cemetery. Also in 2008, Nan Harvey stated that her great-great grandmother Elizabeth Warnock's obituary stated she is also buried at Flower Hill; however, no marker is visible for her.
In addition, Quitman Anthony Burch, who died March 4, 1894, should be buried there. [He and his wife, Alzada Jane (Jennie) Roberts Burch, were married February 18, 1878 by Rev. W.W. Hurst, a Methodist Minister circuit rider who was in the Vicksburg District, Mt. Olivet Circuit, east of Satartia, from 1877 to 1880. Rev. Hurst later was in the South Warren District at Redbone Methodist Church, and he is buried there.] Mr.Burch's obituary states, "Quitman Burch, aged 37 years, died early Sunday morning at his residence in the Oak Ridge section of pneumonia. He was a resident of this county for years. He left a wife and eight children. His funeral took place at Bear Creek Church at 11 o'clock. [This is almost certainly the same as the Flower Hill Baptist Church. There is no visible marker.]
