The Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery has always been a completely separate cemetery and next to Valley View Cemetery, Yerington, Lyon County, Nevada. Located on Cemetery Street on the edge of the town of Yerington. The original catholic people wanted their own private Cemetery and were given the ground next to the regular Valley View Cemetery. It was named Saint Joseph Cemetery and was divided into 2 sections with a center lane going up to a very large crucifix and it continues to mark this old Saint Joseph Cemetery. The Saint Joseph Cemetery sign that was placed above the entry lane to the crucifix is no longer there. This sign was in great disrepair and had been removed a good many years ago. It is now located on the left side of the main entry lane into Valley View Cemetery. Saint Joseph's Cemetery is visible in this picture. A very large crucifix continues to mark this old Saint Joseph Cemetery

This crucifix marks the Old Saint Joseph Cemetery and is located at the end of the lane in the center back of this Cemetery Section.

This is the right section of Saint Joseph Cemetery. The large Crucifix can be seen in the distance, at the end of the center lane.

This is the entry into Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery. It continues to have 2 sections with a center lane in the middle. This lane ends a a very large crucifix. At the beginning of this lane there was a sign that said "Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery". The sign fell into disrepair and is no longer there. Today there is no longer a name used for these 2 sections. It all belongs to Valley View Cemetery.
