PLEASANT HILL CEMETERY:Cassia County; Albion, IDAHOThis Cemetery is one of the (3) Cemeteries located in the small, rural community of Albion, IDAHO. Albion has a population of 262 people to date. The city of Albion was once a booming town back in the late 1800's & early 1900's, due to the popular "State Normal School" for Teachers that is located right next to the Cemetery.. the College is now shut-down & dilapitated.Pleasant Hill Cemetery is the largest of the (3) Albion Cemeteries, & the "Albion City Cemetery" is located right across the gravel road from this one... There are many Pioneer's & Settlers buried in this Cemetery, ones who traveled & settled in Albion, Idaho from all over the World & also various states of the USA. Much history lies here, & many of the headstones are very, very old and quite interesting & unique. Pleasant Hill Cemetery is located right off of Idaho state Hwy. #77."Pleasant Hill Cemetery" was originally called the "Masonic Cemetery IOOF & ODD Fellows" but the name was later changed to PLEASANT HILL. This Cemetery is the original MASONIC CEMETERY.
