MARION - Wilbur Simpson White, 84, a retired farmer, died Tuesday at his residence.
The funeral will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Brothers Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. White was born in Marion County, a son of the late Charles White and Mrs. Rebecca W. White. He was a former member of the S.C. Legislature and member of Marion First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Hattie Coleman White of Marion; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest Foxworth of Mullins, Mrs. Roy C. Wilcox of Auburn, Ala., and Mrs. James H. Atkinson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a son, D. Carlyle of Marion; two sisters, Mrs. Herbert C. Foxworth and Miss Clara L. White, both of Marion; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
